The Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine offers a strong mentored summer research program. The program derives its strength and diversity through dedication of outstanding mentors and availability of various funding sources, including a T-35 and an R-25 award from the National Institutes of Health and a grant from Boehringer Ingelheim Inc., for the BI Veterinary Scholars.
In addition, there are several endowed fellowships, including the Witter Fellowship, Steven Arnoczky Fellowship, and the Feline Health and Well-being Center Fellowship, each supporting one or more veterinary scholars every year, along with additional support from the Dean’s Office at CVM as well as the Graduate School at MSU.
