The Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine offers a strong mentored summer research program. The program derives its strength and diversity through dedication of outstanding mentors and availability of various funding sources, including a T-35 and an R-25 award from the National Institutes of Health and a grant from Boehringer Ingelheim Inc., for the BI Veterinary Scholars.
In addition, there are several endowed fellowships, including the Witter Fellowship, Steven Arnoczky Fellowship, and the Feline Health and Well-being Center Fellowship, each supporting one or more veterinary scholars every year, along with additional support from the Dean’s Office at CVM as well as the Graduate School at MSU.
Students, including those at MSU or at any institution, can apply to all summer research opportunities with a single application form that can be completed online through this link.
The deadline for receipt of applications is February 8th, 2021 at 11:59:59 pm.
The summer research program will take place May 17, 2021 – Aug 7, 2021.
Students from all colleges of veterinary medicine are welcomed to apply to this program.
